One of the special things I find with volunteering, is the opportunities in which you can get as a result of giving up your free time. I've worked very closely with the Nottinghamshire Heritage Railway, formally Great Central Railway (Nottingham). I've worked as a volunteer archivist/photographer for over 4 years now, during that time I've worked with countless amounts of film, slides, found photographs and even glass negatives, that are part of the railways archival collection. It's been a pleasure to document and restore these priceless artefacts for future generations to value and treasure.
